March 2023 Update
Insane, surreal, motivated, hungry. Those four words summarize how January 2023-right now has been like. There was a moment in my creative journey where I just stopped caring about being a creative. I didn’t take advantage of living in the LA- the hub of entertainment and the city many creators want to move to, and I even had thoughts here and there of selling my camera just to have more funds for the college life.
However, the start of 2023, I looked at myself and wasn’t happy. I wasn’t producing results, I was a bystander, I was super passive, I didn’t have any goals, and I was super demotivated and felt no purpose. That’s when I revamped my goal to have a drive and purpose and ever since then, I haven’t looked back.
It’s only been 3 months since I put my head down and worked my ass off to do whatever it took to began client work and pursue creativity outside of just my personal life. The thing about me is when I put my mind on something, I go all in and do whatever it takes to achieve it. Countless time given to coffee chats, cold DM’ing people I look up to, watching tutorials to elevate my creativity, and being consumed by my goal to make myself known in LA really has been a journey.
It’s only now about to be three months and so much has changed and so much has happened. I wonder what my story will look like by the end of this year.
I’ve learned the importance of three things: keeping Jesus at the center of it all, the importance of networking, and the importance of surrounding myself with people with vision and drive. Let’s see where 2023 takes us boys.
